Suits you

Who doesn’t love a good suit? Or a ‘co-ord’ as the new fashion set call it! Whatever you want to refer to it as tailoring has never really been out of fashion and will always be a good investment. The 80’s power-suit is back and whether you want to embrace full ‘Working girl’ a la Melanie Griffith in the 1988 movie or opt for the skinny, cigarette pants and flattering blazers (I have to admit I’m fond of the latter) then this is your time!

Suits are being worn for any and every occasion now. From Angie in her ridiculously cool tux suit at the Baftas to suits being worn for interviews to parties and every family occasion in between. There’s so much wear to be had from a suit and broken up and worn with other pieces, your two-piece will be your hardest working wardrobe staple. It’s also worth considering having a local tailor make some minor tweaks to ensure the fit is just right.

I’ve been wearing a lot of tailoring of late and its made dressing for studio or events very straight-forward. A pair of heels and a cami or t-shirt and runners if it’s a more dressed down day and I’m done. The selection I’ve chosen below is, in my opinion, the best of the bunch. Now go forth and nail that interview…or date…or whatever the gig. And remember the words of Oscar Wilde, ‘You can never be overdressed or undereducated’.
